GRACE COVID Spike Response

Because of the recent spike in the Covid infection rate in Nassau County, now at 27% of people tested, Grace Church is taking the most prudent approach to protect our parishioners and still provide Sunday services online and in person. These changes will go into effect beginning this Sunday, Jan. 9th and will extend until Sunday, Feb. 6th and be re-evaluated at that time.

Christian Education will be held in-person on Sunday at 9:45AM. Masks must be worn.

Adult Forum will be held, on Sunday beginning at 9:00AM on Zoom only.

Link: us02web.zoom.us/j/85342997024

The Choir will not participate in Sunday Services.  The congregation will sing the hymns led/accompanied by the organ.

The number of people serving on the Altar will be reduced to Fr. Walter and Deacon Bob or an LEM. Lectors will continue to read with masks.

Social Distancing will again be requested and every other pew will be roped off as in the past.

Following the Diocesan guidelines there can be no Coffee Hour during this time.

Of course, the proper wearing of masks will continue.

We believe that these temporary changes will help us to go through this Covid spike. Hopefully at the beginning of February we will be able to return to such wonderful traditions as to drink a cup of coffee or tea together in our Coffee House.

God calls us, Grace Episcopal Church, Massapequa, to be a welcoming home for Christian families, individuals, and youth who seek spiritual enrichment and comfort.r

We are an intergenerational Episcopal parish -- a congregation that lives its mission through service to those among us, and others, who are in need.  We are a fellowship of Christian people committed to worshiping God and serving Him in the Church and the world. As a parish family, we find joyful unity in the grace of God the Father, the love of Jesus Christ, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

All are welcome to worship with us, and all who have been baptized in the name of The Trinity are welcome to share in the Eucharist.

Parish Prayer

Almighty God, your loving providence has brought us together into the sacred fellowship of this parish.  Help us, we pray, to worship you with such holy worship, to serve you with such unselfish love, and to give so generously, for the extension of your kingdom, that we may become worthy members of your Holy Catholic Church, and that our parish may faithfully fulfill its mission - - to serve the Lord through: education within the Christian environment, responsible stewardship and witness and service to the wider community through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and resigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever, Amen
