Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the Grace Christian Education Program. Spiritual formation is a lifelong process of growing in our relationship with God. This road begins with our program for children and continues through Confirmation class offered to our young teens. In addition, Grace offers a variety of learning opportunities to all our parishioners (children and adults) and our community.

Our program helps create the foundation that parents can build upon to teach their children the basic Christian values that will guide them through life. Classes are held every Sunday morning at 9:00 during the school term. Groups are divided by grades with children from ages 3 to 16 taught by our Christian Education Teachers. The experience is uplifting and fun for children -- learning through words, activities and music about God, Christ Our Savior and the Episcopal Church. Classes are also held to prepare children for Communion and Confirmation making them full members of the Episcopal Church and the Grace Parish. All children are welcome.

Registration for Christian Education is Sunday, September 3 after the 9:00am Mass and Sunday, September 10 at 9:00am in the back of the Church. Our Homecoming Sunday Mass will begin at 10:00. If you are unable to register in person, please contact one of our leaders listed below.

PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST ATTEND A MANDATORY MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 10 @ 9:00am the Chapel

Our first day of class is Sunday, September 10th  9:00am to 9:50am. Children will go directly to their rooms in the undercroft of the church. Please be prompt when picking up your child. We do hope you can join us at our 10:00am Mass at Grace Church. Father Walter will be conducting the Blessing of the Backpacks for our school children on September 17th as they begin the school year.

We are always in need of volunteers. If you are willing to help out, please let us know. Perhaps you have an idea or suggestion for a new ministry to address the needs of our children or youth - we would love to hear about it. Or, if you are new to Grace and would like to learn about other ministries in our parish, contact the Parish Office at 516.798.1122.

We are all looking forward to a great year of learning about God and our Church. Any questions, please email or call one of our Christian Education leaders.

Sincerely,

Patti Rodriguez
