Grace “Young at Heart” Seniors Gather for Monthly Event

Next event will be Wednesday, February 3rd, 12:00 noon at the Grace Parish Hall. “Young at Heart” welcomes all praish seniors and their friends and neighbors.

Grace “Young at Heart” Seniors Gather for Monthly Event Seventy seniors including Grace Church parishioners and their friends and neighbors joined today to enjoy a home cooked Italian lunch prepared by Church volunteers along with Fr. Walter. While the sounds of big band music and American Song Book classics filled the Parish Hall, the Grace “Young at Heart” Seniors gathered together for companionship, conversation and pasta at the January meeting. The Young at Heart Committee coordinated by Ellen Ritter and Pat Adams had a lot of help today with a score of volunteers bringing various homemade Italian dishes, desserts and snacks. Special thanks goes to Fr. Walter for his penne pasta and the several trays of sausage, meatballs and baked ziti prepared by parishioner Peter Petix, an outstanding Italian cook. Following dessert, Pat Adams was game master and led the room in a “So Sorry” gift swap and auction. Smiles and laughter filled the room as the seniors enjoyed an afternoon out with their friends, neighbors and fellow parishioners. The Young at Heart Club is an outreach of Grace Church Ministries aimed at servicing the seniors in our community. Next event will be Wednesday, February 3rd, 12:00 noon at the Grace Parish Hall. “Young at Heart” welcomes all praish seniors and their friends and neighbors.
